Customer Relationship Management - Overview

This screenshot shows an overview of the basic CRM system. The main work area is dominated by the highly functional side-bar shown on the left of the screen. The top part of the side-bar shows the user's current outstanding activities, including - in the example - a message to reply to, a diary appointment for 'today', a personal work task and a group work task (for the department or team). These items are removed from the list as they are completed.

Further down the side-bar a quick-search allows the user to quickly find a contact record without opening the main search form. However, the main search form contains additional search functionality.

The bottom of the side-bar shows hyperlinked information relevant to the user. Clicking on any of the items opens the appropriate form for the work to be carried out.

In the example screenshot shown, two forms are open, the Calendar, and below it the Task List. As can be seen, the user has an appointment 'today' as well as a personal task that needs completing.
